Contributor Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in contributing content to TechPlug. We value your insights and passion for technology, and we are excited to have you as part of our contributor community. To ensure the quality and relevance of the content we publish, please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your articles:

  1. Content Focus:
  • We welcome articles that discuss innovations, trends, case studies, and stories related to technology in the Malawian context.
  • Articles should be informative, insightful, and engaging, providing our readers with valuable knowledge and perspectives.
  1. Originality:
  • We only accept original content. Your article should not be copied from other sources.
  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Always provide proper attribution and cite your sources when referencing data, quotes, or statistics.
  1. Article Length:
  • We do not limit the length of the articles that you submit to TechPlug so long as it covers the topic exhaustively.
  • In the event that an article is too long and will likely overwhelm readers, we reserve the right to publish it in parts on a mutually agreed interval.
  1. Clarity and Structure:
  • Write in a clear and concise manner. Use headings, subheadings, and bullet points to organize your content for easy readability.
  • We reserve the right to alter the layout of articles when publishing – if need be.
  1. Language and Grammar:
  • Save for special projects and initiatives, all articles must be written in English.
  • Ensure your writing is free from grammatical errors and typos. Proofread your work before submission.
  1. Visual Content:
  • Whenever possible, include relevant images, charts, or diagrams to enhance the reader’s understanding of the topic.
  • Ensure that you have the rights or permissions to use any visual content you include.
  • Through our premium services, TechPlug may help to create and design visual content.
  1. Citations and References:
  • If you reference studies, reports, or other external sources, please include proper citations and references using a consistent citation style.
  1. Author Bio:
  • Include a brief author bio at the end of your article.
  • You may include a link to your personal website or social media profiles.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Submit your articles as a Microsoft Word document or Google Docs link.

Email your article to editorial@techplug.org with the subject line: “Contributor Submission – [Your Article Title].”

REVIEW AND EDITING

Our editorial team will review your submission for quality, relevance, and adherence to our guidelines.

We will provide feedback and may request revisions if necessary.

RIGHTS AND OWNERSHIP

By submitting your article to TechPlug, you grant us the right to edit, publish, and promote your content on our platforms.

You retain authorship and copyright of your work.
